Inspired by a lovely 1890s Ball Gown (pictured below) it is correct in both form and colour for your most authentic portrayal of the well turned out lady of the Gilded Age.
This charming two piece party frock is made of mint bengaline faille, and mint tulle over mint duchess satin. The gown is trimmed in hand dyed Venice lace, net lace and twenty yards of silk ribbon. All trim is hand applied and stitched. The bodice is lined and inner lined, is boned and closes with hooks and eyes. The skirt is lined and inner lined and closes in back with hooks and eyes.
The bodice measurements are: Bust 38 inches, waist 32 inches.
The skirt measurements are: Waist 29 inches, front 40 1/2 inches.
