This two piece 1880s Victorian Classic Ball Gown was created with holiday celebrations in mind.
The base fabric is clove red faille, and over laying drape and bodice cover are of red tulle
lace embroidered in metallic silver. The bodice is adorned with matching silk chiffon,
red satin ribbon roses and silver ribbon flashes, and silver silk ribbon bows on the
right shoulder; a trim repeated on the skirt. Even the bodice back is festooned with
individually appliquéd silver lace rosettes.
The bodice measures 38 inches in the bust and 32 inches in the waist and is closed in
the back on hooks and eyes. The skirt measures 32 inches in the waist and 40 inches
in the skirt front. This gown is shown over a small bustle (not included) or can be worn
over a bustle pad.
