La Belle Epoque

The Gilded Age

La Belle Époque, French for The Beautiful Era, was that wonderful time in fashion that overlapped the end of the Victorian Bustle period and the beginning of the Edwardian period.

Often referred to as the Gay 90s or as the Gilded Age, fashions of the period reflected the buoyant mood of time.

The turn of a century was on the horizon.

The Chicago World's Fair was in full swing.

And the country was in high spirits.

This period of fashion has long been this couturiere's favorite.
